COPE meetings suspended until further notice

 

Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) will not convene meetings until further notice, Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed the House today (Nov.17).

As such, the COPE meeting scheduled to be held at 1:00 p.m. today has been cancelled.

The Speaker revealed this responding to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa during Day 4 of the ongoing debate on the Second Reading of 2024 Appropriation Bill (78th Budget Speech).
